How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

This is genius!

But seriously.
Genius!!

I love that it is a quick cleanup,
the bacon doesn't splatter all over me and my cook top,
AND all I need to do is set the timer and walk away.

Right!?
Genius.

So amazing when you're a busy Mom
trying to manage the chaos of three needy children
and get supper on the table at the same time.

Did I mention it makes the crispiest bacon I've ever eaten!?!
*huge smile*

Let's get to it...

Oven Bacon

Needed
1 package of Bacon
1 pair Kitchen scissors
1 Baking sheet
1 Liner for baking sheet (Aluminum foil *my fav!* or parchment paper)
1000 Monkey  (Just kidding! I just wanted to see if you'd read the whole list or not. *wink*)

How To
1. Preheat oven to 425F

2. Line baking sheet with desired liner.
At the end of cooking simply discard liner.
No pan scrubbing required. Love it!

3. Cut bacon strips in half (makes flipping easier) and place slightly apart on baking sheet.
If the strips are touching during baking they will stick together.

4. Bake for 10 minutes in the oven.

5. Remove from oven.  If desired crispiness is achieved your bacon is done.
If not crispy enough flip bacon strips over and return to oven.

6. Cook in oven for up to 5 minutes more.
The length cooking time required will depend on how fatty your bacon is.  The more fat, the slower it will cook.  The less fat, the faster. I find brand name bacon cooks faster than the cheaper type.  But I love the cheaper type.  I get the keep all that bacon grease!  Click here to find out what on earth I'm talking about.

7. Drain bacon grease into a container with lid.

8. Consume copious amounts of bacon!
(Remember to set aside a few strips.

Bacon lovers!
Are your hearts a flutter?
I'm sure they are.

O wonderful crispy bacon.
How I doth love thee.

Happy thoughts,
Andrea
