This is so delicious
and so easy!
When your cupboards
are bare
and you don't know what to make for dinner,
make this!
Whenever I make chicken for supper, I like to cook a little extra
or set aside a little bit to be used in this great soup recipe.
(These
are extremely flexible. Add as much or
as little chicken/turkey as you have on hand. I've
even made this soup with just an onion and noodles. It was my husband's favorite! Be sure to
keep the seasoning the same.)
1 Tbsp oil
2 Rib of celery, chopped
1 Onion, chopped
10 cups Water
2 Chicken bullion (or try this method)
1/2 - 1 cup Shredded chicken
1 Tbsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 cup Carrot, chopped
1 cup Noodles
How To:
1. Place oil, celery and onion in a large pot on medium heat. Stir until browned.
2. Add remaining ingredients (minus noodles). Bring to a boil. Turn down and simmer 30 minutes.
3. Add noodles. Stir occasionally. Cook another 15 minutes or until noodles are tender.
4. Serve with homemade bread! *wink*
My kids always ask for seconds!
Tasty.
Flexible.
Easy.
Love it! *little clap*
Happy thoughts,
